Edward Reed Yancey

Edward Reed Yancey, age 60 years, of the Day Ridge Community, died Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

He was born in Akron, Ohio on October 29, 1960 the son of Arvell Reed and Cassie Geraldine (Owens) Yancey.  Edward was a member of the Day Ridge United Baptist Church, an avid fan of Dodge vehicles, and loved to fish.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Christopher Yancey; and sister, Debbie Yancey.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann (Keith) Yancey; daughters, Ashely Yancey of London, Kentucky and Jessica Yancey of Toledo, Ohio; step-sons, Jesse Parks of Cincinnati and Dillon Parks of Indiana; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Owens Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Sunday at the Funeral Home.
