Edward "ED" Murphy

Edward “Ed” Murphy, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Departed this life in Whitley City, Kentucky on September 11, 2014 being 74 years, 9 months, and 20 days old. He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on November 22, 1939 the late son of Jessie and Betty Lou Murphy.

He was a former Forklift Driver at Pine Knot Lumber Company.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by; his Wife Betty Fayrene (Perry) Murphy, two brothers Cleve, and Jesse Jr. Murphy.

He is survived by one brother Willard Murphy of Whitley City, Kentucky, and three sisters; Alice Murphy of Whitley  city, Kentucky Georgia Ridener of Whitley City, Kentucky, Laura Murphy of Somerset, Kentucky. Two sons; James and Bobby Gene Murphy both of Whitley City, Kentucky, and eleven daughters; Patricia Redd of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Judy Ann Murphy of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Jonie Lee Hastings of Clinton, Tennessee, Pam Murphy of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Linda Andrews of Whitley City, Kentucky, Fayrene Goodin of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Kandy Rednour of Monticello, Kentucky, Donna Kay Jones, Of Whitley City, Kentucky, Tricia Abercromibe, of Stearns, Kentucky, Brenda Sue Murphy of Whitley City, Kentucky,  Lisa Cheatham of Clinton, Tennessee, along with seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Edward “Ed” Murphy will be conducted Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the McCreary County Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Hustle Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery.

Ed will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him; but we trust that our loss is his eternal gain.
