Edna Bernice Daugherty, age 86 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died Saturday September 3, 2011 at her home. Funeral services were held Tuesday September, 6, 2011 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Burke officiating. Burial was in the Josh Wilson Cemetery.
She was born in Strunk, Kentucky on August 23, 1925 the daughter of the late Ezra, and Dora (King) Slaven. She was a Receptionist at the Forest Service and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Her parents and sisters Veila Agnes Slaven, Arlene Chitwood, Lorene Slaven, Theda Louise Slaven, Martha King, and Flora Tabitha Slaven precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband Lenvil Daughgerty, special nephew Anthony Slaven and wife Sheila all of Strunk, Kentucky, brother Lenville Slaven and wife Barbara of Louisville, Kentucky, and sisters Betty Dixon of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Wanda Joyce Thompson of Cincinnati, Ohio. Grandchildren Brandon Slaven and Brittany Branscum and husband Josh, and great grandchild Emme Branscum also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arangements.
