Edna Lee Branscum, age years, of Smithtown, Kentucky died August 26, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Leamon Branscum officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
She was born in Worley, Kentucky on June 8, 1924 the daughter of the late Luther Edison and Hattie Bell (Spradlin) Jones. She was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Rock United Baptist Church.
Her parents; husband, Clarence Branscum; brothers, William Edwin Jones and Edison Eugene Jones; and sisters, Thelma Leigh, Rowena Ross, and Dorothy Ledbetter precede her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Maurice Ray Branscum and wife Clotine of Cincinnati, Ohio, Herbert Dewayne Branscum and wife Lisa of Cummings, Georgia, Wendell Eugene Branscum of Cinicinnati, Ohio, and Larry Clayton Branscum of Stearns, Kentucky; and daughters, Sue Anna Slaven and husband Alton and Patricia Eileen Crabtree both of Whitley City, Kentucky. 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren also survive.
