Doyle Strunk

Mr. Doyle Strunk, age 68, passed from this life on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at his home in Whitley City, Kentucky.

He was born December 24, 1946, in Whitley City, to the late John Marion and Ethel Emma (Brooks) Strunk.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers; John Strunk, Jr., Donald Strunk, and Gerald Eugene Strunk.

He is survived by four brothers; Kenneth Randall Strunk (and Peggy) of Whitley City, Jay Wendell Strunk (and Freda) of Whitley City, Lowell Strunk (and Judy) of Whitley City, R. Darrell Strunk (and Donna) of Pine Knot, and three sisters; Janet Faye Payne of Cincinnati, Nancy Kay Neal of Pine Knot, and Susan Atchley (and Howard) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky.  He also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Doyle had been a logger by trade and had a love for horses and enjoyed horse racing.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 1:00 p.m.,in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Rufus Hughes officiating.  Burial will be at the Higginbotham Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.
