DOVIE JANE TUCKER

Dovie Jane Roberts Tucker age 84 of Stearns, Kentucky died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at McCreary Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro Dwight Davis and Bro Carlie Tucker officiating. Burial followed in the Davis Cemetery in Stearns, Kentucky.

She was born January 17, 1928 in Ritner, Kentucky to Clarence Roberts and Dora Jones Maxwell. Dovie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lick Creek Baptist Church.
Her father, mother, husband James W. Tucker, brothers Ardell Maxwell, and Dolphus Maxwell; sisters Emma Lee Maxwell, and Dorthy Haas; son James Howard Tucker, and 1 Great Grandchild precede her in death.

Survivors include  her sons Clarence W. Tucker and wife Mary, Kelly Tucker and wife Lois, Harold Lee Tucker and wife Brenda of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers Bill Roberts, Jeff Roberts of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Estel Matthews of Stearns, Kentucky; sisters Frona Tucker, and Amy West Whitley City, Kentucky, and Tammy Smith of Nashville, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
