DOROTHY MARY WEST

Dorothy Mary West, age 89 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died June 5, 2010 in Milford, Ohio at the Meadow Brook Care Center. Funeral services were held June 10, 2010 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie King officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will recieve friends after 7pm Wednesday June 9, 2010 at the funeral home. She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on June 26, 1920 the daughter of the late Dan and Hannah Ross Vickery. She was a School Cook and a member of the Lower Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Her parents, husband Lelian P. (Lee) West, son John West, daughter Rose Elizabeth Messer, brothers Herbert Vickery and Herman Vickery, sisters Lurie Kidd and Ethel Lavender, son in law Bill Childers and one grandchild precedes her in death. Survivors include daughters Janice Lee Childers of Milford, Ohio and Patricia Ann Hensley and husband Rodney of Stearns, Kentucky, and sister Hazel Jones of Pine Knot, Kentucky. Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
