Dora Conroy

Dora Bryant Conroy, widow of James Conroy, age 93 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Hens Nest, Kentucky on November 15, 1928 the daughter of the late Elmer and Truie Vanover Bryant.  Dora enjoyed cooking, and sewing but her pride and joy was her nine children and grandchildren.

Her husband, James Conroy; her parents, Elmer and Truie Bryant; brothers, Lloyd and Floyd Bryant; sisters, Dorothy Kitchens and Kathryn Raike; sister-in-law, Ann Bryant all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Roy “Butch” Siekbert of Cincinnati, OH., Roger Siekbert of St. Petersburg, FL., Barry Siekbert and wife Tracy of Cincinnati, OH., and Larry Siekbert of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters,  Susan and husband Louis Miller of Whitley City, KY., Terri and Randy Belanger of Middlesboro, TN; eleven grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service for Dora is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, March 7, 2022 in the Chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 until time for funeral service. 

Brother Rufus Hughes will be officiating and burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery.
