Donald Joe Jones, age 74 years, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky died April 5, 2011 in Knoxville, Tennessee at the UT Medical Center. Funeral services were held April 10, 2011 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Hurstle Daugherty and Bro Blake Pinson officiating. Burial was in the McCreary Memorial Gardens. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 6PM SATURDAY APRIL 9, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in Smithtown, Kentucky on October 9, 1936 the son of the late Ernest and Lula (Waters) Jones. He was a mechanic and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. His parents, sons Danny Joe Jones and Tommie Jones, brothers and sisters James and Ruth Jones, Ernest (Doc) and Pauline Jones, Clifford Gene and Lois Jones, Morris Lee Jones, Claire and Raymond Flynn, Shirley and Lester Key, Virginia Ruth Jones and Gladys Katherine Jones and grandson Donald Dewayne Shepherd precede him in death. Survivors include his wife Gloria (Phillips) Jones, sons Jeff Jones and Elaine Wright of Revelo, Kentucky and Tim Jones and wife Paula, daughter Millie Mason and husband David both of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, brother Phillip and Faye Jones of Smithtown, Kentucky, and sister Shirley and Hilary Adkins of Burnside, Kentucky. Grandchildren Vanessa Miles, Terri Lee Mason, Carri Lynn Mason, Jamie Wright, Timothy Allen Jones, Dustin Jones, Breona Jones, Jeremy Jones, Dylan Jones, Dawson Lynch, and Garrett Jones, great grandchildren Jarrod Spradlin, Nathan Hayden Pierce, Brooklyn Spradlin, Devin Pierce, and Weston Miles, and sister in law Opal Jones also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
