Dewitt Floyd Strunk age 81 of Stearns, Kentucky died Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 1pm at the Solid Rock Church of God with Rev. Scottie Corder,Bro. Marvin Kates, and Bro. Jason Kates officiating. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery.
He was born August 1, 1930 in Day Ridge, Kentucky to John Riley Strunk and Jennie Gibson Strunk. Dewitt was a member of the Solid Rock Church of God.
His mother, father, children, Edna June Strunk and Loretta Sue Strunk; and brother, Woodrow Strunk precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Strunk of Stearns, Kentucky; children, Billy Don strunk and wife, Rita, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Tommy Ray Strunk and wife, Teresa, of Stearns, Kentucky, Jerry Lee Strunk of Stearns, Kentucky, Flora Joan King of Pine Knot, Kentucky, John Andrew Strunk and wife, Robin, of Whitley City, Kentucky, Dewitt Strunk Jr. and wife, Sherri, of Stearns, Kentucky, and Johnnie Harold Strunk of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers and sisters, Sally Watson, Charlie Strunk, Hobert Strunk, all of Stearns, Kentucky, Bron Howard of Whitley City, Kentucky, Karen West of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Grover Strunk of Stearns, Kentucky, Deannie Strunk of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Johnny Strunk of Stearns, Kentucky; 27 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
