Denver “Pig’ Rollins, age 85 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Sawyer, Kentucky on May 16, 1937 the son of A.O. and Tavie Jane (Vanover) Rollins. Pig had worked as a logger and was an avid hunter of turkey and deer.
His parents; wife, Dorris Jean (Vanover) Rollins; son, Scotty Dean Rollins; brothers, Arnold Rollins, Basil Rollins, Denzil Rollins, and Grover Rollins; and sisters, Lena Perry and Bertie West precede him in death.
Survivors include his son, Ricky J. Rollins of Parkers Lake; daughter, Sharon Rollins of Parkers Lake; granddaughter, September Smith-Rollins (Larry Stephens); and great grandchildren, Peyton Stephens, Kaylor Stephens, and Leah Stephens.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, April 21, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Rollins officiating. Burial to follow in the Marlar Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Friday at the Funeral Home.
