Denise Johnson

Denise (Hatfield) Johnson, age 62 years, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, daughter of Donna Jean Bryant, died Monday, June 6, 2022 at her home.

Denise was the wife of Roy Johnson, and attended the Russell Cave Church of Christ, formerly the Taylor Ridge Baptist Church. She was born in Whitley City, Kentucky to the late Roy Hatfield and the late Donna Jean Bryant. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, riding, and relaxing. She loved spending time with her family. 

Denise is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Annette Bolin; and her son, Lonnie Dewayne Bryant. 

Denise is survived by a large host of loving family, which includes: sons, Michael Bryant (Jennifer), of Adairsville, Georgia, Steven David Fletcher, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; her daughter, Kathy Jean Bray (Richard), of Dry Ridge, KEntucky; brothers, Danny Hatfield, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sherril Bolin, of Covington, Kentucky; sisters, Donna Kay Hatfield-Fletcher (Earl), of Cincinnati, Ohio, Deborah Kellem (Thomas), of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Jacob Bryant, Joie Lynn Bryant, Kaitlyn Jean Bray, Kyson Dewayne Raines, and Keaden Michael Raines. 

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Saturday at the Funeral Home.
