DELMER LEE MANNING

Delmer Lee Manning, age 88 years, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee died January 4, 2011 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee at the Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 2pm Saturday January 8, 2011 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Sexton officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 1PM SATURDAY JANUARU 8, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on May 12, 1922 the son of the late David P. and Flora (Stephens) Manning. He was a Chemist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, a member of First Baptist Church Oak Ridge, and served in the US Army during WWII. His parents precede him in death. Survivors include his wife Esther (Alcorn) Manning, and sons Alan Manning and wife Ginny both of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Larry Manning and wife Kirby of Burnside, Kentucky, and a brother Donald Manning of Florida. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
