Deborah Carol Slaven passed from this life on Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital being 59 years, 11 months, 19 days old. She was born in Marshes Siding, KY on January 7, 1957 to the late Jimmie and Alma (Strunk) Perry.
She is preceded in death by: one brother: Kenny Perry, two sisters: Tammy Slaven and Infant Wilda Lee Perry.
Surviving family includes: one son: Jordan Slaven of Revelo, KY, three daughters: Tara Cooper and husband Chance of Stearns, KY, Amy Bray and husband Neil of Mt. Vernon, KY, Brady Byrd and husband Jason of Anna, Ohio, two brothers: Rodney Perry of Virginia, Jimmie Perry and wife Melissa of Ridley Park, PA, one sister: Donna Spears and husband Burl of Virginia, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Deborah was a member of the McCreary Church of Christ. She was passionate about quilting, reading, and listening to the scanner. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and adored her grandbabies. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, evening December 28, 2016, at 7:00 PM, in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Arnold officiating. The Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that you please make donations toward the funeral expense. Deborah’s wishes were to be cremated after her service.
