Deborah “Debbie” Sue Gentry, age 61 years, of Stearns, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at her home.
Debbie was the wife of Clay Gentry Sr., and the daughter of the late Carl Lunsford and the late Virginia (Herring) Lunsford. She was born in El Paso, Texas on March 24, 1960. Debbie loved fishing, flower gardens, the Blazin’ Bluegrass Festival, and cooking. She has a special love for koala bears, and spending time with her family, specifically her grandkids. In addition to the bluegrass festival, she enjoyed 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s style music.
Debbie is survived by a large host of loving family, including: her husband, sons; Clay Gentry Jr., of Stearns, Kentucky, Dustin Gentry, of Huntsville, Tennessee, daughters; Christina Bell, of Whitley City, Tina McCoy (husband James), of Jabez, Kentucky, Mary Carroll (husband William), of Deer Lodge, Tennessee, brothers; Carl Lunsford Jr., of Ohio, David Lunsford, of Ohio, sisters; Brenda Clouser, of Ohio, Sharon Herman, of Ohio, grandchildren; Justina Bell, Tommy Ledbetter, Shyann Ledbetter, Logan McCoy, Raylynn McCoy, Makayla Carroll, Jonas Carroll, Kaylee Gentry, Karly Gentry, Karmen Gentry, and many special family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Monday, July 26, 2021, at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Corder officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
