Deborah Jo Cox

Deborah “Debbie” Jo Brooks Cox, widow of Chester Cox, passed away on June 19, 2024, at the age of 65, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky.

Along with her husband; Chester Cox, she is also preceded in death by her father; Joe Bill Brooks.

She is survived by her mother; Audrey Brooks, Bloodworth, daughters; Deborah Marie Cox of Whitley City, Lenzee Michelle Cox and her companion Lomas Clark of Somerset, Step-son; Leslee Cox and wife Allison of Mississippi, Sisters; Glenna Jones and husband Tim of Pine Knot, Paula Douglas and husband Marty of Somerset, Grandchildren; Katlyn Brown and husband Matt of Somerset, Dalton Jamison of Whitley City, Joe Meadows of Whitley City, Sadie Broadfoot and husband Jonah of Pine Knot, Isaac Cox of Somerset, Gracie Swihart of Somerset, Reece Clark of Somerset, Zander and Mataya Clark of Somerset, Nephew; Billy Trammell and wife Rebecca of Strunk, Niece; Brittney Johnson and husband Jonathan of Cadiz, Grand Nephews; Kaden and Trenton Marcum of Cadiz, Zoey Tucker of Somerset and William Trammell of Strunk. 

She enjoyed reading, playing games on computer and phone, working jigsaw puzzles, but her favorite was spending time and taking care of her family whom she loved dearly.

Funeral service for Debbie Cox is Monday, June 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Brother Tim Corder officiating.
