DEANNA McCOY

Deanna McCoy, age 31, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, April 18, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on September 19, 1984, the daughter of Carol Sue McCoy who resides in Stearns, Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Mae McCoy, who passed away in 2007.  She is also preceded in death by her father Delbert “Shorty” Bryant, of Sand Hill, Kentucky, and fraternal grandfather Delbert Bryant Sr. of Revelo, Kentucky, and maternal grandfather Verlin H. McCoy.

She is survived by her mother, Carol Sue McCoy, two daughters: Cheyenne and MacKenzie McCoy, her grandmother, Reba McCoy (and Ernest Keith, Jr.) a niece, Stormy Watson, three nephews: Jimmy and Jason Shook and Jacob Stephens, several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She is also survived by her fraternal grandmother Gerline Bryant and two half-sisters; Ashley Renee Bryant of Cookeville, Tennessee and Kelsey Elaine Bryant of Oneida, Tennessee.

Deanna had worked at the Stearns Museum, she was in the ROTC program in high school and she loved spending time with her daughters.

Funeral services were held at  2:00 p.m.,  Thursday, April 21, 2016, in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Scotty Corder officiating.  Burial was at the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
