DARRELL LEE BALL, SR.

Darrell Lee Ball, Sr., age 77 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died January 21, 2011 at his daughterOs home in Georgetown, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie King and Bro. J.W. Barnett officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 5PM MONDAY JANURY 24, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in Stearns, Kentucky on February 28, 1933 the son of the late James Andrew and Rachel Rowena (Stephens) Ball. He was a retired Ford Motor Company employee and a member of the Meadows Grove Baptist Church. His parents, wife Bertha (Abbott) Ball, brothers Claude Ball, Carl J. Ball, Estes Ball, Mark C. Ball, Ralph Norman Ball, and James Andrew Ball, Jr., and sister Millie Kathleen Barnett precede him in death. Survivors include sons Timothy Lee Ball, Sr., Jeffrey Lane Ball and wife Martha, Darrell Lee Ball II and wife Sonya, Christopher W. Ball and wife Debbie all of Stearns, Kentucky, and James Nathan Ball and wife Nola Jean of Pine Knot, Kentucky, daughters Karen Lenore Gilreath and husband Charlie of Georgetown, Kentucky and Kimberly Ann Specht and husband Bob of Stearns, Kentucky, brothers Hoyatt Ball of Stearns, Kentucky and Richard Ball and Ronald Ball Both of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and sisters Julie Faye Estes of Cincinnati, Ohio and Janie Shelley of Stearns, Kentucky. Twenty one grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
