DARLIS CHANEY

Darlis Chaney, age 77 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died July 11, 2010 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday July 15, 2010 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery. VISITATION AFTER 6:00PM WEDNESDAY, JULY 14, 2010. She was born at Worley Hilltop, Kentucky on October 4, 1932 the daughter of the late Alfred and Ella Spradlin Slavey. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Her parents, brothers Burl Slavey and Obie Slavey, and sisters Lora Mae Davis and Janice Wilson precede her in death. Survivors include husband Ernest ODutchO Chaney of Pine Knot, Kentucky, son Walter Chaney of New Jersey, daughters Kathy Young of New Jersey, Joy Chaney of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Donnie Mayner of Science Hill, Kentucky, and a sister Versie OBootsyO Jones of Stearns, Kentucky. Granchildren, Timothy Darrell Chaney, Brian Chaney, Mason Mayner, and Rachel Darlis Mayner also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
