Daniel Roscoe Vanover

Daniel Roscoe Vanover, age 37 years, of Elyria, Ohio died Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on August 29, 1984 the son of Carl and Teresa (Goodin) Vanover. Daniel had worked in Tree Service, was a member of the Eagle Creek United Baptist Church, enjoyed cutting wood, hanging with his friends, but his son was his world.

His father, Carl Vanover; grandparents, Elva and Lawrence Vanover, Kenneth Earl Goodin, and Rebecca (Spradlin) Stevenson; uncles, Larry Vanover and Lawrence Vanover, Jr; and aunts, Clara Vanover and Mary Vanover precede him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Teresa Johnson (Kenneth) of Somerset, Kentucky; son Daniel Roscoe “DJ” Vanover, Jr. of Elyria, Ohio; companion, Missy Joyce of Elyria, Ohio; brother, Carl Andrew Vanover of Wiborg, Kentucky; sister, Melissa Goins (BJ) of Parkers Lake, Kentucky;  uncles, Parker Vanover, Darryl Vanover, Michael Vanover, Wayne Goodin, Greg Goodin, Jody Goodin, Timothy Goodin, and Rodney Goodin (Donna); aunts, Elva Mae Hicks, Pearlie Vanover, and Carol Vanover; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends in Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 3pm Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the Pleasant Knob United Church with Bro. Doyle “Boone” Perry and Bro. Daniel Ridener officiating.  Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Church.
