Clara Frazier Smith

Clara Frazier Smith, age 81 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at her home.

She was born in the Hen’s Nest Community of McCreary County, Kentucky on October 27, 1943 the daughter of the late Claymon and Allie (Bryant) Perry. Clara was of the Pentecostal Faith, and had worked in many local restaurants, the Shirt Factory, and LeSportsac. Cooking, yard work, and beautiful weather were her favorite things.

Her parents; husbands, Jim Frazier and Oscar P. Smith; brother, Foist (Betty) Perry; sister, Sylvia (Oscar) Hinkle; and brother-in-law, Bill Slaven precede her in death.

Survivors include her son, Lee Frazier of Whitley City, Kentucky; sister, Helen Slaven of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; grandchildren, Brittany and Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Rylan, Koltyn, and Olivia; and her dog, Betsy.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating. Burial will follow in the McCreary Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 11am Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
