Cecil "Jake" Moore

Cecil “Jake” Moore, age 81 years, 5 months, and 29 days, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on March 7, 1941 the son of Elmer and Bessie (Branham) Moore.  Cecil was a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God. He served 22 years in the United States Army and United States Air Force, and 11 years for the Pine Knot Job Corps. Cecil Loved his kids and grandkids more than anything.

He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Caitlin Moore; brother, Luther “Doc” Moore; and sisters, Sue Babcock, Joyce Murphy, and Sharon Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Stella (Coffey) Moore of Stearns, Kentucky; sons, Arlin Matthew Moore (Stephanie) of Somerset, Kentucky and Timothy Dwayne Moore (Debra) of Stearns, Kentucky; grandchildren, Samantha Lucas (Bryce), Jake Moore, AJ Moore, Makayla Redden, Jackson Tucker, and Emily Tucker; great grandchildren, Alea Moore, Alexis Turner, Caisen Lucas, Hayden Lucas, and Phoenix Phillips; brother Walter Moore of Germany; sister, Janis Theaman; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank Veterans Affairs Health Care Systems, Lifeline Home Health, and Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

In lieu of flower and food the family request donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Private family services were held with cremation to follow.
