Carol Dean South age 57 of Strunk, Kentucky died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathon Perry officiating. Burial followed in the Jesse Privett Cemetery.
She was born February 18, 1954 in Oneida, Tennessee to Walter Stephens and Jeanette Douglas Stephens. Carolyn was a homemaker and was a member of the Meadows Grove Baptist Church.
Her father, mother, first husband, Claude Privett, sister, Vicky Stephens, and brother, Oliver Stephens precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband, William South; sons, Claude Jr. Privett and wife, Christy of Stearns, Kentucky, Lonnie Privett and wife, Karen, of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Jasper Privett and wife, Dayna, of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters, Lutrina King of Strunk, Kentucky, Rhonda Garcia and husband, Tim, of Strunk, Kentucky, Gloria Coffey and husband, Randy, of Stearns, Kentucky, Eulane Huckeby and husband, Randy, of Huntsville, Tennessee, Wendy Privett of Strunk, Kentucky, Dinah Bryant of Huntsville, Tennessee, and Delilah Privett of Strunk, Kentucky; brothers, Thomas Gary Stephens and wife, Anna, Charles Stephens and wife, Ruby, and Walter Stephens Jr. and wife, Tonya, all of Winfield, Tennessee; sisters, Shirley Stephens of Manchester, Tennessee, Mary Hill and husband, David, of Winfield, Tennessee, and Geneda Stephens of Oneida, Tennessee, and 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
