Carl Vanover age 52 of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Pleasant Knot Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Higginbotham Cemetery.
He was born September 15, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Lawrence and Elva (Patrick) Vanover. Carl was a member of the Pleasant Knob Baptist Church and was well known for his machine work at Big M. Discount.
His mother, father, and sister, Mary Vanover precedes him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Carl Andrew Vanover of Flat Rock, Kentucky and Daniel Roscoe Vanover of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; a daughter, Melissa Ellen Goins of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; brothers and sisters, Lawrence Edward Slaven and Louise Stouffer, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Larry Vanover, Clara Vanover, Carol Vanover, Lawrence Vanover Jr. Parker Lee Vanover, Elva Mae Hicks, and Pearly Ann Vanover, all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, and Michael Wayne Vanover and Darrell Ray Vanover, both of Whitley City, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren, and 2-step-grandchildren.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
