CARL (HOUDINI) DEAN CANADA

Carl Dean (Houdini) Canada, age 53 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died June 23, 2011 at his home. Funeral services were held Sunday June 26, 2011 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Hurstle Daugherty officiating. Burial was in the Higginbotham Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 12NOON SUNDAY JUNE 26, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

He was born in Jellico, Tennessee on April 7, 1958 the son of the late Earl Ray and Martha Gibson Canada. He worked in construction as a mason and was a member of the Marshes Siding Church of God and American Legion Post 115.

His parents, daughter Keisha Canada, sisters Brenda Canada Hatfield, Mary Canada, and Linda Canada, brother Bobby Canada and one special sister in law Bertha Canada preceded him in death.

Survivors include son Kevin Canada of Whitley City, Kentucky, Daughters Crystal (Matt) Crabtree of Stearns, Kentucky and Crystal (John) Hardwick of Whitley City, Kentucky, Sisters Jacualine (Roy) Phillips of Marshes Siding, Kentucky and Patricia ( Wayne) Meadows of Whitley City, Kentucky, and brothers Virgile Eddie (Mary) Meadors of Williamsburg, Ky, Robert (Rose) Canada and Raymond Darrell (Ina) Canada both of Whitley City, Kentucky, Arnold Lee Canada of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Grandchildren Cassandra and Riley Crabtree and one special nephew Brent Canada and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.
