Brenda Carol McMeen

Brenda Carol McMeen, age 71 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, Tennessee.

She was bornin Oneida, Tennessee on March 4, 1948 the daughter of Leamon and Ota (Prewitt) Richmond. Brenda was a homemaker, member of the Bethel Baptist Church, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and traveling, also reading, playing cards, and adored her grandchildren.

Her parents and step daughter, Daphne Meadows precedes her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Bruce McMeen, whom married October 16, 1987; son Leamon Perkins and wife, Lisa of Pine Knot; daughter, Danielle Barlow and husband, Bruce of Science Hill; grandchildren, Billy Perkins and wife, Miranda, Bruce Perkins and wife, Jessica, Samantha Moore, and Jake Barlow and wife, Nicole, and 11 step grandchildren; and great grandchildren, Rebekah, Lilyanne, Weston, Amelyah, Lydiah, Jase, Alea, and Lexi, and 16 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Perkins and Bro. Bruce Perkins officiating. Burial to follow in the Richmond Estates. The family will receive friends after 11am Thursday at the funeral home.
