Bobby Cleston New, age 72 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died September 22, 2013 in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Sewell officiating. Burial was in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
He was born in Cooperative, Kentucky on April 11, 1941 the son of the late Marvin and Mamie (Williams) New. He had worked for Harrison Steel Mill in patterns; and of the Baptist Faith.
His parents; wife, Betty Ruth (Stephens) New; and brother, Leonard James New precede him in death.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy Dale New and wife, Rebecca of Danielsville, Georgia; daughter, Sally (Buffie) Laney and husband, James of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, Louie New of Hartford, Kentucky and Conley New of Okeechobee, Florida; and sisters, Gretta Spradlin of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Martha Jean Singleton of Sturgis, Michigan. Grandchildren, Bryson Dale New, James Laney, and Jaime Laney; and great grandchild, Kinley Cordell also survives.
