Bob Brooks, age 81, died Friday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born at Beulah Heights, Kentucky on May 31, 1931 the son of the late John and Winnie Hunley Brooks.
Funeral service was held Sunday January 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Sexton officiating. Burial in the Higgabotham Cemetery.
He retired from the Military and served in the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Navy.He was of the Baptist
Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Bonnie Burdine Brooks.
His Brother Emerson Brooks also precedes him in death.
He is survived by his step daughters Ray June Rainey of Loveland, Ohio; Joyce Gosser of Somerset, Kentucky; and Jeannette Littrell of Loveland, Ohio. He is also survived by his Brother Chester Ed Brooks and wife Jean of Whitley City, Kentucky.
