BETTY PORTER

Betty West Porter, age 77 years, of Destin, Florida died August 31, 2012 at her home.  Funeral services were held Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. David West and DCN Jack D. Raymond officiating.  Burial was in the Hill Cemetery.

She was born in Winfield, Tennessee on July 24, 1935 the daughter of the late Oscar and Nellie (Hill) West.  She was a homemaker.

Her parents precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, John Porter of Destin, Florida; sons, John Anthony Porter of Los Angeles, California, and Kevin Eric Porter of Kindsbach, Germany; daughter, Lori Welsh of Niceville, Florida; brothers, Oscar West, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jack West of Williamsburg, Ohio; and sisters, Wilda Stanley of Strunk, Kentucky, Shirley Braden of Winfield, Tennessee, Ruth Kidd of Salem, Alabama, and Ruby Litton of Iola, Texas.  Grandchildren, John Brandon Porter of Louisville, Kentucky, Kyle Welch of Niceville, Florida, and Rebecca Welch of Tallahassee, Florida also survive.
