Betty L. Kidd, of Stearns, Kentucky died August 25, 2013 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1pm with Pastor Grant Hasty officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
She was born in Belton, Texas on October 15 the daughter of the late Alfred and Myrtle Ruby Hughes. She was a machine operator at the Shirt Factory, member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and attended the Crossroads Baptist Church.
Her parents; husband, Ewell Dean Kidd; daughter, Peggy Morrow; brothers, Charles Wayne Hughes and Payton Hughes; and sister, Barbara Pruett precede her in death.
Survivors include her son, James Kidd and wife, Lisa of Stearns, Kentucky; daughters, Pam Griffis and husband, Tim and Pat Kidd both of Stearns, Kentucky; brother, Glen Hughes of Houma, Louisiana; and sister, Jeanelle Sotko of Houma, Louisiana. 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and Kathy Kidd who was like a daughter also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
