BERTHA ALMA WATSON

Bertha Alma Watson, age 66 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died October 14, 2010 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday October 17, 2010 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. George Coffey and Rev. Rufus Hughes officiating. Burial was in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 6PM SATURDAY OCTOBER 16, 2010 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. She was born in Scott County, Tennessee on August 22, 1944 the daughter of the late Harvey and Burnettie (Smith) Watson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Beech Grove United Baptist Church. Her parents and sister Nancy Watson precede her in death. Survivors include her brothers Sullivan Watson and Lee Roy (Rebecca) Watson both of Seaman, Ohio, Harvey (Mary) Watson, Jr. of Monticello, Kentucky, Kenny (Dorselene) Watson and Charlie (Marilyn) Watson both of Yakima, Washington, sisters Cloteen (Leo) Dolen, Joyce (Milford) Ross, Lena Faye (Ralph) Barnett, Rita (David) Miller all of Stearns, Kentucky, and a special sister in law Alma Gayken. Numerous nieces and nephew also survive. McCreary County Funeral home entrusted with the arrangements.
