Arthur Lee Keith

Arthur Lee Keith, age 61 of the Smithtown Community of McCreary County, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday January 2, 2020 at Central Baptist in Lexington, Kentucky.

Arthur was born July 3, 1958 in Springfield, IL., to the late, Ernest and Ardie Justine Whitehead Keith. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Arthur worked in the sawmill.

Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, Gladys Blair Keith, whom he married on July 13, 1996. His sisters; Nancy Louis Keith and Mary Magdalene Keith, nephew, William Cleo Thomas, his cousin, Kenneth Lee Bell, whom he thought of as a brother, his grand-parents, Osburn and Nancy Phillips Keith, General Sherman and Rachel West Whitehead .

He is survived by his brother; Earnest Lee Keith Jr. and wife Reba of Whitley City, Kentucky, his sister/niece; Sharon Keith Godsey and husband Willie of Monticello, his nephews; Brandon Thomas of Parkers Lake, David Thomas and wife Randi of Whitley City, Arnold Godsey of Monticello, Hartman Godsey and wife Carol of Richmond, Ky., his nieces; Pamela Thomas of Parkers Lake, Mary Cole and husband James of Bronston, his best friend; Jay Smith and wife Linda that he thought of as a brother, his step-mother, Norma Gregory Keith, step-siblings, Leamon Dodd, Joyce Perkins and husband Adam of Whitley City, and Rhonda Bruce and husband Wesley.  He leaves behind family and friends that will greatly miss him and will mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Arthur Keith are Monday, January 6th at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.  Brothers Estel Jones and Kelly Tucker are officiating with burial to follow in the Mt. View Cemetery.
