ARNOLD CARL CANADA

August 9, 1918 — March 27, 2013


Rev. Arnold Carl “Puddle” Canada, age 94 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died March 27, 2013 in Pine Knot, Kentucky at the McCreary Health and Rehab.  Funeral services were held Saturday March 30, 2013 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Sim Thacker, Bro. Scotty Corder, and Bro. Lance Lay officiating.  Burial was in the Holloway Cemetery.

He was born in Canada Town, Kentucky on August 9, 1918 the son of the late Melton E. and Mary Ann (Fore) Canada.  He was a Coal Miner and Logger and Pastor of the East Stearns Church of God.

His parents; wife, Mary Martha (Bell) Canada, daughter, Lois Ann Canada; brothers, George Canada, Clifford Canada, Delmer Canada, Cleo Canada, and Earl Canada; sisters, Leona Perry, Oshie Walter, and Jean Duncan; and 3 grandchildren precede him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Arnold Carl Canada, Sr. and wife, Willena, James Canada, Gary Wayne Canada and wife, Darlene all of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Robert Canada and wife, Wanda of Ragland, Alabama; daughters, Glenna Clark and husband, Elmer, Ruth Sumner and husband, Bob, Faye Vanover, Mary Jane Bryant all of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Nancey Todd and husband, Jim of Somerset, Kentucky.  25 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 25 great great grandchildren also survive.
