ARLENE CHITWOOD

Arlene Chitwood, age 83 years, of Huntsville, Tennessee formerly of Pine Knot, Kentucky died May 12, 2011 in Oneida, Tennessee at the St. MaryOs of Scott County Hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday May 15, 2011 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Crestin Burke and Bro. Norman Burke officiating. Burial was in the Josh Wilson Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECIEVE FRIENDS AFTER 6PM SATURDAY MAY 14, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. She was born in Worley, Kentucky on December 21, 1927 the daughter of the late Ezra and Dora (King) Slaven. She had worked on a factory assembly line and was of the Baptist Faith. Her parents, husbands Joshua Willard Duncan and Marshall Chitwood, son Timothy Marshall Chitwood, 4 infant sisters, and sister Martha King precede her in death. Survivors include sons Shirel Ray Duncan of Fairfield, Ohio and Tommy Doyle Chitwood of Pine Knot, Kentucky, daughters Patricia Gail Dixon of Cleves, Ohio, Veda Carol Hartley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Benita Diane Burke of Oneida, Tennessee, Shonda Dorene Chitwood of Oneida, Tennessee, and Kimberly Renee Cooper of Winfield, Tennessee, brother Lenville Ezra Slaven of Louisville, Kentucky, and sisters Edna Bernice Daugherty of Strunk, Kentucky, Betty Jean Dixon of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Wanda Joyce Thompson of Cincinnati, Ohio. 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren also survive.
