ANNA LEE JONES

Anna Lee Jones, age 70 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died May 17, 2013 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  Funeral services were held Monday, May 20, 2013 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Vanover and Rev. Rusty Spradlin officiating.   Burial was in the Higginbotham Cemetery.

She was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on June 27, 1942 the daughter of the late Fred and Bertie (Vanover) Bryant.  She was a homemaker and member of the Sandhill United Baptist Church and loved to read and crochet.


Her parents; brothers, Jerry Doyle Bryant and wife, Mel, and Delmar Smith; and 3 infant brothers precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, George Jones, Sr.; sons, George Jones, Jr. and wife, Carol, James Dean Jones, and Jerry Wayne Jones; daughter, Donna Sumner and husband, Michael all of Whitley City, Kentucky; brother, Lowell Dean Bryant and wife, Christina; and sister, Phyllis K. Bray and husband, Ray both of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Grandchildren, Misty Smith and husband, matthew, Amanda Sumner, Michael W. Sumner, Keasha Jones, Tafton Jones, Zachary Perry, Desiree Jones, and Andrea Jones; and great grandchildren, Reily Patrick, Savannah Harless, Olivia Smith, Addison Smith, Tafton W. Jones, and Tiffany Jones also survive.
