Alma Sue Koger of Whitley City, Kentucky departed this life at her home on October 11, 2014 being 54 years, 3 months and 17 days old. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on June 24, 1960 daughter of Bill J. and the late Dorothy Neal Stephens.
She was a Machine Operator at American Bag Corporation, and a member of the House of Prayer church; her favorite season was Christmas, She enjoyed gospel music, singing, yard selling, going to flea markets, and watching game shows on TV, She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her mother she is preceded in death by two Infant sons; James and Brian Koger, five brothers; Finley, Jim, Donald, Ray, and Thurman Whalen and one sister; Sybil Ann Stephens.
Along with her father she is also survived by her loving husband; Carl Koger whom she married May 12, 1978 in Jellico, TN, two sons; Jason and Kellie Koger of Whitley City, KY, Carl Curtis of whitely city, KY, one daughter; Donna Sue Koger and Clifton Lynch of Whitley City, KY, two brothers; Earl Dean Whalen of Detroit, MI, Jack and Betty Stephens of Whitley City, KY, two sisters; Jean and Troy Jeffers of Oneida, TN and Alene and Roy Trammell of Strunk, KY, four grandchildren; Jordan Koger, Brooklyn Koger, Evan Tucker, and Kalynn Tucker, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Alma Sue Koger will be conducted Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Cyrus Byrd and Bro. Scotty Corder officiating. Burial will follow in the Holloway Cemetery.
