Alma Daugherty

Alma Whitehead Daugherty, age 84, of Stearns, Kentucky, widow of Verlin Daugherty, passed away on Friday, March 03, 2023, at Williamsburg Nursing Home.

Alma was a homemaker and attended House of Prayer Church, when she was younger she loved to play softball and was on a team.  She enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work and her flower garden, cooking, signing gospel music but her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Denton and Ethel Marie Ross Whitehead, husband; Verlin Daugherty, son; Jimmy “Sam” Daugherty, infant daughter; Deloris Daugherty, brothers; George and Glenn Whitehead.

Alma is survived by her son; James “Pete” Daugherty of Stearns, brother; Ardel and wife Judy Whitehead of Stearns, sisters; Audrey Jones and Wilma Sterling of Stearns, grandson; Jamie Daugherty, great-grandchildren; Morrison Kyle Strunk and Cherokee Haze Daugherty, along with special friends; Charlene Waters, Kathy Gibson, Wilma Maxwell, Aaron & Teresa Howard, Randy Bolin and Loretta Douglas.

Funeral service is Tuesday, March 7^th at 1:00 PM with Brother Tommy Tapley officiating, visitation is 11:00 am until time for funeral service with burial to follow in Nancy Grave Cemetery.
