ALICE MAXINE STEPHENS

January 23, 1947 — February 25, 2011

Alice Maxine Stephens, age 64 years, of the Sandhill Community died February 25, 2011 at her home. Funeral services were held Sunday February 27, 2011 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Corder officiating. Burial was in the Old Pigeon Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 11AM SUNDAY FEBRUARY 27, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. She was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on January 23, 1947 the daughter of the late Herbert and Frona (King) Taylor. She was a School Cook and a member of the Indian Creek United Baptist Church. Her parents, husband Billy Ray Stephens, and sister Susan Haygood precede her in death. Survivors include sons Darrell Slaven and James Stephens both of Whitley City, Kentucky, daughter Marilyn Carr of Elizabethtown, Indiana, sisters Billie Jean Weaver of Somerset, Kentucky and Kitty Vanover of Whitley City, Kentucky, and brother James Taylor of Whitley City, Kentucky. Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
