Albert “Dag” Ardell Terry, age 56, husband of Mary Winchester Terry, of Whitley City, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at his home.
He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky, on December 5, 1964, to the late Albert J. Terry and Rosa Flynn Coffey. Dag was a welder for a boat manufacturer in Monticello, Kentucky and Truss builder for Lumber King in Whitley City. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, jeep riding, playing cornhole, but above all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dag is survived by his wife; Mary Winchester Terry of Whitley City, KY., Son; Wesley and wife Stephanie Terry of Stearns, Kentucky, daughters; Ashley Terry and fiancé, Craig Chambers of Oneida, TN, Amy Terry of Casey County, KY., sisters; Vaunita “Nita” Vaughn and husband Bill of Stearns, KY., half-brothers; Joshua Terry and Jason Terry of Whitley City, KY., Grandchildren; Kade Chambers, Waylon Terry, Miley Slaven, McKenna Wilham, Kylie Sims and Teagan Kennedy, Special friend; Joe Vaughn of Whitley City, KY.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister; Patty Miller and very good friend Brian Gibson.
Funeral Service for Dag Terry will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Brother Steve Stephens and Brother Rufus Hughes officiating, with Burial to follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery. Visitation is on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 PM.
