AGNES BLEVINS

Agnes Blevins, age 83 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died February 27, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  Funeral services were held Wednesday February 29, 2012 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Vaughn and Rev. Wayne Inman officiating.  Burial followed in the Barren Fork Cemetery.

She was born in Winfield, Tennessee the daughter of the late Jasper Tate and Ethel (Stanfill) Strunk.  She was a member of the East Appletree United Baptist Church and worked 18 years for National Forest Service Maintenance.  She enjoyed working with the Seniors in the Forest Service.

Her parents, husband, Odie Blevins, brothers, Raymond Strunk, Gilbert Strunk, Hobart Strunk, and Hurstle Strunk, and sister Pearl Meadows precede her in death.

Survivors include her son Hank Blevins and wife Candace of Monroe, Michigan, daughters, Janice Kennedy and husband Mike of Revelo, Kentucky, and Beverly Worley of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, a brother Goldman Strunk of Cincinnati, Ohio, and sisters, Estelle King and Joice Chitwood both of Winfield, Tennessee, and Edna Sexton of Radcliff, Kentucky.  Grandchildren Scott (Jennifer) Blevins, Steven (Annette) Kennedy, Adam (Shannon) Kennedy, Samantha (Troy) King, and Jeremy Worley, and great grandchildren, Taylor Blevins, Michael Kennedy, Jake Kennedy, Ally Kennedy, Kelsey King, and T.J. King also survive.
