Abbie Campbell, age 95 years, of Parkers Lake. Kentucky died February 28, 2017 in Pine Knot, Kentucky at the Signature Health Care of McCreary.
She was born in Sawyer, Kentucky on May 6, 1921 the daughter of William Harrison and Sarah Ethel (Morgan) Rose. Abbie was a homemaker, member of the Mill Creek Methodist Church, loved coloring, sewing, especially quilting.
Her parents; husband, James Curtis Campbell; daughters, Etta Wyonna Ridner, Shirley Maedean Ridner, and Ethel Irene Allen; brothers, George Rose, Luster Rose, and John Arlis Rose; sisters, Ruby Minnick, Manda Keith, Ella Privett, and Josephine Rose; and grandchildren, Jesse James Ridner, Curtis Earl Campbell, Valerie Ann Ridner, and Dennis Evan Ridner precede her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Hershel Eugene “Bill” Campbell and wife, Judy and James Curtis Campbell and wife, Patricia both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; daughter, Pearlie Wilma Lee Ridner and husband, Lee Ester of Parkers Lake; brothers, Euel Rose of Parkers Lake and Hobert “Hoby” Rose of Whitley City; sister, Pearlie Ridner of Parkers Lake; 12 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, 11am at the Mill Creek Methodist Church with Bro. Dow Goodin and Bro. John Goodin officiating. Burial to follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, March 3, 2017, at the McCreary County Funeral Home.
